Inside the YTContentLaunch courses, we talk about how to maintain a consistent schedule that works for you, your target audience, and your time/ability constraints so that you can post on a consistent basis without burning out or sacrificing quality, and develop a consistent schedule that your viewers can come to rely on. Here’s a few things we cover on the subject of consistency:
Once you know your objective for a video (e.g. get more views, nurture my audience, position myself as an authority) you can plan the right type of content. How to organize your content into buckets and formats so that you avoid decision fatigue and create consistent content.
Plan your content. Not a “how to plan a year’s worth of content in an hour” strategy, but a realistic approach that allows for flexibility and change. Schedule your content. Picking a schedule that you (and your readers) will enjoy and can maintain, rather than attempting to adopt something that isn’t sustainable. Batch-create content. Create (and edit) a content calendar. Pivot when needed, but keep moving forward. Consistency will give you a professional impression from the audience as well as the algorithm perspective. It will gradually increase your views and engagement and will allow you to build a loyal audience for your content. Furthermore, it will save you from burnout and will give you ample time to create better content.
There’s more to consistency than just the timing, though. The biggest challenge is when you don’t know what to create anymore. In the course, you’ll learn how to create your “Idea Bank” to avoid “blank page” days. I’ll show you how to recycle your greatest hits and how to convert one long-form content into multiple shorts or community post ideas. When you have this stockpile of ideas, you don’t have to be creative “on the clock” anymore, and you can just focus on creating instead of thinking, when the clock is ticking.
Efficiency is one of the most powerful tools of any creator who’s able to produce content on a regular basis. In YTContentLaunch, we look at a number of ways to increase your efficiency including things like editing presets, templates, and script templates. You want to make sure that you’re not wasting your time on the things that don’t matter so you can double down on the things that do. With increased efficiency, you’ll be able to get higher quality content out the door faster and it’ll be a lot easier to keep up with your regular uploads even when you’re busy.
Finally, the program teaches you “intelligent consistency”. There’s no point in posting every Tuesday if you have no viewers. You will be taught how to check your analytics every month to identify which content is delivering results and which one is not. You can then produce more of what’s working for you and eliminate what’s not working for you to ensure you’re maximizing your return on time. Being consistent means that you consistently provide results, and you can only do this by being responsive to your audience’s response to your content.
